Software we designed, built and run.

Products of our own, from the data model to the last screen.

Synaptic Lab, based in Islamabad, Pakistan, designs and builds software end to end. These are products we built ourselves: a finance operations platform, an HR and payroll system, a household bookkeeping app and the desktop app we use to run a development team. Every screen here shows demo data, never a client's.

Finance operations platform

Backoffice Manager

A ledger-driven finance platform for back-office firms that manage several clients. It tracks client revenue, staff salaries and shared costs, keeps a running balance per client and shows the profit on each one. Every posting is double-entry, and a closed month cannot be changed.

What it does

  • Double-entry ledger: draft, approved, posted, and corrected only by reversal
  • Shared costs split across clients by head count
  • Month-end close that locks the books
  • Profit and loss per client
  • Five roles, from super admin to viewer, and an audit log
  • Import and export to CSV and Excel, with templates

Built with

What it does

  • Payroll cycles with a two-person lock, and a bulk payroll wizard
  • Leave that escalates up the manager chain
  • Attendance flags that know each person's shift
  • An org chart
  • Payslips and reports as PDF and Excel
  • Subscriptions with features switched on per plan

  • A chart of accounts

Desktop app for running a software team

Shipcrest

A Windows desktop app for running a development team day to day. It writes and checks tasks, tracks risks for each system, watches branches and releases, keeps backups and writes the weekly report, with an AI assistant that runs only when asked. Its data stays as plain files on the machine.

What it does

  • Tasks written, checked before they are sent, and verified when done
  • Risks for each system, security first, turned into fix plans
  • Branch and release checks across every repository
  • A weekly report for the owner
  • Weekly backups and a mirrored copy every 10 minutes
  • Built-in updates, checked by fingerprint
