Cookie policy

This policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage synapticlab.net uses, why, for how long, and how you can control them.

1. 01What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a website keeps in your browser. Websites also use similar browser storage (local storage and session storage) for the same job. This policy covers both, and calls them all cookies.

2. 02Necessary cookies (always on)

These keep the site working. They stay in your own browser and are not used to track you.

   • theme-choice: remembers light or dark. Kept until you clear your browser.
   • synapticlab.site-cache.v1: a copy of this site's text, so it opens faster next time. Kept until you clear your browser.
   • synapticlab.announcement.dismissed: the announcements you have closed. Kept until you clear your browser.
   • synapticlab.ad-source and synapticlab.scroll: which of our ads brought you, and where you were on each page, so Back returns you there. Deleted when you close the tab.
   • synapticlab.attribution: the first page of your visit, the campaign tags in its address (UTM and fbclid) and the last market page you looked at, sent only with a form you choose to send. Deleted when you close the tab.
   • synapticlab.consent.v1: your cookie choice. Kept until you change it or clear your browser.
   • synapticlab.currency: the currency you chose for prices. Kept until you change it or clear your browser. When you pick a currency other than US dollars, your browser asks a public exchange-rate service (on jsDelivr or Cloudflare) for the day's rate. No cookie is sent; like any web request, the service sees your IP address.
   • Staff sign-in: only for our own team, on the staff login page.

3. 03Marketing and analytics cookies

We do not use marketing, performance or analytics cookies at the moment.

4. 04Third-party cookies

No other company sets cookies on this site. Our WhatsApp links open Meta's app, where Meta's terms apply.

5. 05How can you control cookies?

You can delete or block cookies in your browser's settings; blocking the necessary ones may stop parts of the site from working.

6. 06Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Any change is published on this page, with the date at the top.
